Do I need an account to use Orbyt?
Yes. Orbyt is a members network — you'll create an account to post, follow people, message, and use the app's features.
Orbyt is invite-only — how do I join?
Orbyt is currently invite-only, so you need an invite to create an account. If a member invited you, use their invite link or code on the sign-up screen. Don't have one yet? Join the waitlist on our website and we'll let you in as we open more spots.
I have an invite code — where do I enter it?
Enter your invite code when prompted on the sign-up screen. If it says the code is invalid or already used, it may have expired or been redeemed — ask whoever invited you for a fresh link, or contact us.
Can I invite friends?
Yes — open the menu (or Settings) and use Invite Friends to share an invite link with someone.
Account & login4
I can't log in
Use the same email or sign-in method (email, Apple, or Google) you signed up with. If you're still locked out, email support@orbytsocial.com from the address on your account and we'll help you recover it.
It asks for an invite or account when I try to log in
Orbyt is invite-only, so an account has to be created with an invite before you can log in. See “Getting started & invites” above.
Change my username or email
Open Settings → Account in the app to update your username or email at any time.
Restore my account after requesting deletion
Log back in within 30 days of requesting deletion and your account is restored. After 30 days it's permanently deleted.

What is account verification?
It's a quick, optional camera check that confirms you're a real, live person — you perform one simple gesture (like turning your head or smiling) on camera. The whole check runs on your device. Pass it and you earn a verified badge on your profile. It never blocks you from using the app.
Is my face or photo data stored or shared?
No. The check runs entirely on your phone: the photos are analyzed on-device, are never uploaded to Orbyt or anyone else, and are deleted from your device the moment the check finishes — pass or fail. We don't create face templates, don't do facial recognition, and don't match your face against anything. Our servers only receive the pass/fail result. Full details are in our Privacy Policy under 'Face Data and Identity Verification.'
Do I have to verify?
No — verification is completely optional. You can use Orbyt fully without it; it simply adds a verified badge to your profile.
Verification didn't work — what now?
Find good lighting, keep only your face in frame, start from a neutral expression, and hold the gesture when prompted. You can retry a few times (there's a daily limit to prevent abuse). If it keeps failing, contact us and we'll help.

Edit my profile
Go to your profile and tap Edit to update your photo, bio, skills, and career details.
Personal and company accounts
You can run a company account alongside your personal one and switch between them from the account switcher in the side menu.
Create a company account
Open the account switcher in the side menu and choose Create company, then follow the steps.
My new profile photo isn't showing everywhere
It should update across the app right away. If an older screen looks stale, pull to refresh or reopen it.
Posts, comments & content4
Create a post
Tap the compose button to share text, photos, or video with your network.
Comment, reply & @mention
Open a post to comment. You can reply to a reply, and @mention people — they'll get notified.
Columns & Stacks
Columns are long-form newsletters you can write and others can subscribe to. Stacks let you collect and share related content.
Edit or delete something I posted
Open the menu (•••) on your post or comment to edit or delete it.
Feeds, search & Orbee3

For You surfaces recommended content across Orbyt. In Your Orbit shows posts from the people you follow.
Search & Six Degrees
Search finds people, posts, columns, events, and more. Six Degrees helps you discover how you're connected to someone.
Orbee AI
Orbee is the in-app AI assistant — ask it to find events, people, jobs, and answers, or to help draft and explore. Orbee is powered by Google's Gemini AI: your messages and relevant profile context are processed by Google to generate responses, and are not used to train its models or for advertising. Details are in our Privacy Policy under 'Artificial Intelligence Features.'
Connect, experts & bookings3
Book a 1-on-1 or meeting
On a member's or expert's profile, pick an available time and book. Free meetings are subject to a monthly limit.
Become an expert / set my availability
In Connect → Meeting Settings, connect your calendar, turn on your Expert profile, and set the days, hours, time zone, and session you offer.
My available times look wrong
Re-open your availability in Connect, confirm the days, hours, and time zone, and save again. If it still looks off, contact us.
Events, Launchpad & jobs3
Events
Discover and RSVP to events from the Events tab.
Launchpad
Share your product launch or discover what others are building in Launchpad.
Jobs
Browse roles in the Jobs tab and apply. You can also ask Orbee about a specific job for a hand.
Messages2
Send a direct message
Open Messages to start a conversation with someone.
Why can't I message someone?
Some people limit who can message them. You may need to follow each other, or they may have message requests turned off.
Privacy, safety & reporting4
Report a post, comment, or account
Use the report option directly on the post, comment, or profile. Our team reviews reports promptly.
Block someone
Open the profile and choose Block, or manage blocked accounts in Settings → Privacy & security.
Browse more privately (Cloak)
Cloak mode lets you browse more privately. Toggle it from the side menu when you want it on.
Urgent safety concern
Email support@orbytsocial.com with the details and we'll prioritize it.
Subscriptions & billing3
Manage or cancel a subscription
Subscriptions are billed and managed by the app store you purchased through. Manage, change, or cancel from your device's store account settings.
Will deleting my account cancel my subscription?
No. Deleting your Orbyt account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in the store to stop future charges.
Refunds
Refunds are handled according to the refund policy of the store you purchased through. Reach out and we'll point you in the right direction.
Your data & account3
Export a copy of my data
Go to Settings → Account and request a data export before you delete your account.
Delete my account
Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your account enters a 30-day window before permanent deletion — logging back in during that window restores it. See the Delete Account page for full detail.
